AMX INTRODUCES NEW DVI VERSION OF SUCCESSFUL TOTAL PRESENTATION INTERFACE PRODUCT LINE
Offers Brilliant, Digital Picture and Built-In Annotation

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands – February 3, 2009 – AMX®, the leader in providing simplified solutions in the audio/visual control industry, today introduces the addition of two DVI models (TPI-PRO-DVI) to the Total Presentation Interface product line. The TPI-PRO-DVI simultaneously delivers up to four images to any overlay touch screen and/or larger display. In addition, it includes built-in annotation allowing users to write or draw directly on the touch screen while simultaneously delivering it to the larger display for audience viewing. It's the perfect tool for presenters, perfect for use in classrooms, courtrooms and conference rooms.

"With the introduction of the TPI-PRO-DVI, AMX continues to strive for more functionality and flexibility," explains Robert Noble, chief technology officer of AMX. "The built-in annotation and DVI support make the new TPI-PRO a versatile, must-have solution for any multi-format presentation application."

With incorporated scaling and multi-format support, video sources can include Composite, S-Video, Component, VGA and DVI signals, providing a future proof solution to a facility. AMX built-in digital video processor converts older analog signals to digital, eliminating noise and distortion. Whether using AMX TPI-PRO or our new TPI-PRO-DVI, both are the perfect tool for any presentation. Other features include:
  • Integrated Interactive Annotation – Allows the presenter to write on or draw on any live video images, freeze the onscreen video to allow annotation over a still picture and store them as JPEG's for later use (available 2Q 2009).
  • Optimizes Video Source Resolutions – An integrated scaler improves the quality of projected video by scaling graphics or video signals to match the native resolution of the display or projector. The TPI-PRO family ensures the highest quality output possible (DVI using the new TPI-PRO-DVI, VGA using the TPI-PRO-2 and TPI-PRO-4).
  • Displays and Converts Multiple Video and Computer Sources – The entire TPI-PRO family supports S-Video, Composite, Component and VGA; the new TPI-PRO-DVI also supports DVI.
  • Easily integrates with Apple and Microsoft Computers – It saves space and extra equipment with the ability to control both Apple and/or Microsoft computers simultaneous via one USB keyboard and mouse.
AMX is unveiling the Total Presentation Interface – DVI Edition (TPI-PRO-DVI) at booth number 2C62 at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, February 3-5 2009. The TPI-PRO-DVI will be available 90 days.
