EA Members Will Enjoy Personal Account Management, System Design Services, Training and Greater Access to Technical Information Plus a Rewards Program

RICHARDSON, Texas – March 5, 2010 – AMX®, the leading provider of solutions that simplify the implementation, maintenance, and use of technology to create effective environments, today announced the launch of its Education Alliance program. Administrators and chief information officers in higher education (aka AMX Allies) will now have direct access to valuable resources for consultative services and customer support.

Available to new and existing college and university AMX customers, the Education Alliance program will enable AMX Allies to make more informed purchase decisions, delivering time savings and cost-effectiveness now and moving forward. Benefits of the program include a personal AMX Allies account manager, design services, training, and access to technical documents. AAMX Allies will also receive a monthly newsletter with trends, product information and news. And finally, AMX Allies will reap the benefits of a reward program where points can be used toward purchasing new equipment and invitations to special industry events.

"Our technology is not only changing the face of higher education but is transforming the educational experience for both learners and teachers," says Rashid Skaf, AMX president and CEO. "The successful integration of our products in tens of thousands of classrooms on every continent is testament to our ability to deliver solutions which enable people to educate, collaborate and communicate. AMX has made and will continue to make strategic investments in people, products and services for the education market."

"This new initiative is an extension of AMX's history of success and ongoing commitment to higher education and the continued goal to simplify business decisions for our customers," says Michael Peveler, AMX vice president of education sales. "The Education Alliance program is a win, win, win because it will enable us to work closer with higher education, assist our outstanding network of integrators and achieve an even higher level of customer satisfaction."

AMX has an extensive track record of successful solutions developed for customers in the higher education market stretching back almost 30 years. These include installations in every perceivable type of educational institution from Ivy League schools and world-class universities to smaller private and local colleges.

As Tim O'Rourke, Temple University's Vice President of Computer and Information Services, explains, "One of the benefits that AMX brought to us was its system design and programming expertise. We knew which technologies we wanted in each room, but we didn't know how to integrate these technologies in a way that would be user friendly. AMX helped us design and integrate our systems in such a way that every faculty member, including those who are not as tech-savvy, can use computers, DVD players, document cameras and flat panel displays to enhance the learning process, which is of course our ultimate goal." AMX offers integrated hardware and software solutions for higher education in four broad categories; room automation in classrooms and meeting rooms; building and campus management of AV and related technologies; digital signage to distribute information to students, faculty, staff and visitors; and video content management to capture, store, schedule and broadcast video content.
