New hardware pushes Biamp AEC technology to the endpoints for increased ease and efficiency
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, today announced the release of version 2.1 of the company’s powerful Tesira® family of digital signal processing (DSP)-based solutions. For projects that require AEC, Tesira 2.1 includes two new hardware components — the EX-AEC Expander and the EEC-4 Modular Card for the EX-MOD device.
These two devices bring Biamp® Sona™ AEC technology directly to the endpoints for easy and efficient AEC and a greater variety in the way systems can be deployed. Previously, AEC cards were added to a SERVER or SERVER-IO, but now the AEC technology is embedded within the new EX-AEC hardware endpoint. If the SERVER or SERVER-IO expansion slots are full, the addition of an endpoint with AEC provides a simpler and more efficient means of expanding and adding AEC. The EX-AEC Expander and the EEC-4 Modular Card are slated to ship July 15.
Also in Tesira 2.1, Biamp has added multi-channel compression abilities to its comp/limiter compression and the option to use compressors in either advanced or simplified mode at system setup. A new independent limiter block provides more precise decision-making when choosing blocks needed for the installation.
“By providing the most flexible and scalable AVB networking capabilities in the industry, Tesira 2.1 ensures that there is a Biamp solution for every project and Biamp quality for every budget,” said Justin O’Connor, Audio Product Manager, Biamp Systems. “With the latest Tesira technology, enterprises can take audio processing from large to super-scaled platforms that provide functionality such as AVB, CobraNet, and Dante in a single Tesira chassis.”
