Presentations discussing methods to increase audio system ROI and processing techniques for distance conferencing applications

BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, announced that the company will be presenting two education sessions at this year’s InfoComm India. Titled “Introduction to Networked DSP Systems and Their Implications on ROI,” the session presented by Robin Ghose, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) regional manager for Biamp, will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 17 September; the second session titled “Audio Processing Techniques in Distance Conference Systems,” given by Godwin Mathew, application engineer for Biamp, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on 19 September. Both sessions will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.

Designed to help attendees understand the changing nature of networked audio protocols, “Introduction to Networked DSP Systems and Their Implications on ROI” will outline the benefits of leveraging corporate IT infrastructures in order to improve the performance of AV systems. In “Audio Processing Techniques in Distance Conference Systems”, participants will learn the various audio processing techniques that are applied to today’s distance conferencing systems. Both presentations will discuss emerging trends and technologies, best practice recommendations, and present case studies to highlight innovative installation techniques.

“New audio protocols are changing the way we design, implement, and operate today’s unified communication, sound reinforcement, and paging applications,” stated Ghose. “I look forward to sharing how audio network protocols such as AVB, CobraNet, and Dante can positively impact the bottom line of today’s commercial audio installations.”

“Audio remains a key component for ensuring that collaboration tools retain their promise of delivering experiences that mimic the natural flow of face-to-face conversations,” added Mathew. “By understanding how to apply acoustic-enhancing technologies, integrators can dramatically improve audio intelligibility within any environment.”

Based in Bangalore, Robin Ghose develops Biamp’s sales and growth strategies for the SAARC region. With more than 10 years of experience in the professional AV industry, he is an expert in the development and management of distribution networks and customer relationships. As a Biamp applications engineer for the India, Middle East, and Africa regions, Mumbai-based Godwin Mathew is a specialist in designing and setting up distance conferencing systems. He works closely with Biamp customers in order to design, install, and develop innovative audio communication systems.
