BIAMP SYSTEMS’ UC PRODUCT MANAGER TO PRESENT IN NEXT VIDEO CONFERENCE AT GV EXPO
Posted on Thursday, November 20, 2014

Session will explore how to increase collaboration through implementation of effective huddle rooms

BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, announced that Paul Waadevig, unified communications (UC) product manager for Biamp, will present “Increasing Collaboration: How to Implement Effective Huddle Rooms” as part of the Next Video Conference at Government Video (GV) Expo. The session will take place on Dec. 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

In his presentation, Waadevig will explore the emergence of huddle spaces as a new UC trend that is influencing every aspect of the enterprise, including public sector settings, and shifting the way employees, teams, and entire organizations collaborate. The presentation will outline the audio solutions, video hardware, design considerations, and integration best practices behind today’s most successful huddle room installations. This will include methods for Web and video conferencing that mimic the authenticity of face-to-face interactions and how installers can maintain both biometric and encryption security protocols within governmental settings.

“When a huddle room is successfully implemented, there is an immediate improvement in both communication and collaboration — not only among co-located employees, but between those employees and distributed participants,” said Waadevig. “As new innovations continually change the way people work together and communicate, it’s important to identify and explore these emerging UC trends to determine their potential value for increasing organizational collaboration and efficiencies.”

With more than 10 years of conferencing, collaboration, and telecommunication service experience, Waadevig leads, develops, and implements successful strategic efforts across all areas of the conferencing space touched by UC for Biamp. Prior roles include director of information and communication technology best practices at Frost & Sullivan, as well as manager of telecommunication services, global program director of conferencing and collaboration, and senior consultant of unified communications for Microsoft, Cisco, and Polycom.
