BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, announced the hiring of Sam Ng as Biamp’s area manager for greater China and Mike Cast as field sales engineer for emergency communications systems – North America.
“Sam is a valuable addition to the Biamp family as we continue our mission of providing stellar support and media system solutions to current and new customers in the greater China area,” said Matthew Packer, sales development director, Asia Pacific for Biamp Systems. “His rich expertise and knowledge of both IT and AV, coupled with his insight into the region, provides the foundation to further relationships.”
Prior to joining Biamp, Ng led business development efforts in the Hong Kong and Macau region for Extron Electronics Asia – Hong Kong as well as AMX Asia. He also held sales, programming, and project engineering roles for PAV Technology Ltd. and Applied Technologies Ltd., both in Hong Kong. He holds a bachelor’s of computer science from Iowa State University.
“Mike possesses the technical know-how and experience that make him a natural fit at Biamp and a great resource for our customers as the demand for messaging and emergency communications systems rapidly increase,” said L. With more than 20 years of design and project engineering experience, Cast is a true leader in the technical industry. He most recently worked as the director of technical systems for Ermco, developing standards for engineering processes and procedures, in addition to managing leaders across all divisions. Prior to that, he was the vice president of operations at Fairchild Communications where he oversaw operations for the company. He has also held executive engineering positions for InterDesign Group, Schmidt Associates, Hagerman, Woodwind Contracting, and AV Marketing. He holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue University as well as several industry technical certifications.
