São Paulo, Brazil., – April 10, 2014 – Christie^®, a world leader in digital cinema projection, will have a major presence at the fourth consecutive year at the trade fair Show de Inverno, the annual meeting of the Brazilian film market held in Campos do Jordão, São Paulo, Brazil, from April 10 – 12, 2014.

Show de Inverno is the trade event of the film industry that marks the beginning of the winter holiday season in Brazil and annually convenes major distributors, producers, manufacturers and exhibitors in the Brazilian market, as well as technology companies specializing in the film industry.

Bruno Tavares, General Manager of Christie Digital Systems South America Ltda., will make a presentation of Christie and its products on Saturday April 12 at 10:30 AM in the auditorium of the event.

“Show de Inverno is a must-see event for all Brazilian professionals who want to be aware of the latest in film technology, and in Christie we are proud to support this event every year,” said Bruno Tavares. “The digitization of cinemas in Brazil is progressing in an unstoppable way and the event of this year will help to drive deployment processes that are in development,” he added.

Christie will once again be the Master Sponsor of Show de Inverno, and the company logos will be present throughout the event. As well, instructive videos dealing with Christie’s presence will be projected at the beginning of all film screenings and in the video walls deployed in the different areas of the show.

In addition, the main auditorium of Show de Inverno will be equipped with a Christie Solaria One+ projector with the Christie IMB solution to be used in all the screenings from the different content distribution companies.

In March 2013, Christie opened its first office and showroom in South America, which is located in São Paulo, Brazil, and provides in-region customer service and support, most notably in the digital cinema market, where Christie had already an established and growing customer base. Recently, digital cinema projectors from Christie have been deployed in different cinema chains in Brazil, including Kinoplex Brasil, Cinematográfica Araújo, Arco-Íris Cinemas and Grupo Cine Cinemas.
