In its early adoption, the audio-visual industry featured little education and training for integrators and manufacturers.  After a few years, classes on AV best practices became the norm.  Soon after, certification programs.  Now, two decades later, AV mounting has gone from craft status to a full-blown, engineering methodology.

Historically, if you wanted to utilize a projector, you’d put a display mount in the ceiling, and the process was relatively simple.  AV has evolved into a more complex industry today.  True engineering, stress loads, share factors, and different kinds of rated hardware have transformed the craft of AV mounting into an engineering industry.
