Sudbury, MA — Jun. 07, 2023 —  Yamaha has announced the addition of two new video collaboration systems to its unified communications offerings: the CS-800 and the CS-500. Both products will be on display at InfoComm 2023 in Orlando, Florida.

"The new CS-800 and CS-500 combine Yamaha's state of the art audio processing technology with the latest in intelligent video technology to automatically identify the conference space and the meeting participants," says Tats Umeo, CEO Yamaha Unified Communications. "Yamaha’s signature technology, SoundCap Eye™, combines video information with audio information to capture the voice of speakers in the meeting. The newly developed Hexa-Microphone both discovers speakers and eliminates distracting noises and sounds in the same vicinity. Together, the two technologies provide a frictionless and excellent calling experience by automatically adjusting video and audio to each unique setting."

CS-800 is an all-in-one system that integrates the microphone, speaker, camera and video output (HDMI) required for remote conference into one device, while CS-500 includes the microphone, camera and video output (HDMI), utilizing the speaker of the connected display (or other Yamaha or 3rd party speakers).

The new SoundCap Eye™ technology combines information from the multi-dimensional beamforming microphone array with highly accurate positioning information from the video to focus audio capture on the participants in the meeting. Combined with audio volume controls, this technology makes the CS-500 and CS-800 ideal solutions for open space meeting environments.

Both products feature a 4K AI-enabled video camera supporting auto-framing, allowing for three modes: "speaker tracking", "individual tracking" or "group" modes. Audio and video information are used in combination to determine the section of the meeting room or space where relevant participants are located, and to direct the focus to that area.

Users can easily launch video calls on both the CS-500 and CS-800 by utilizing the HDMI connections. Whether the products are used in a BYOD environment or with installed equipment, the products support auto wake-up when someone enters the meeting space and provide guidance on the screen about how to start the meeting. This technology allows companies to add customized images to provide corporate messaging.

Various installation methods are available such as tabletop, wall installation, and display mounting using the optional mounting accessories. The CS-800 and CS-500 have also passed Zoom’s comprehensive testing and have been certified as a Zoom Rooms hardware device, confirming a reliable and seamless collaboration experience for users. Additionally, the CS-800 has been certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms, and the CS-500 is in the process of certification.
