— ATM610a/S features MagnaLock™ on/off switch and a superior internal shock mounting, reducing handling and stage noise —
INFOCOMM, ORLANDO, FL, June 12, 2013— Audio-Technica (booth 831), a leading innovator in transducer technology for over 50 years, is introducing its new ATM610a/S Hypercardioid Dynamic Handheld Microphone. A variation on A-T’s successful ATM610a, the ATM610a/S features a lockable MagnaLock™ on/off switch design providing silent on/off operation, making it even more versatile for a variety of applications. Like the ATM610a, the ATM610a/S features a hypercardioid polar pattern that reduces the pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of the desired sound source. The ATM610a is ideal for vocal applications when the user needs the ability to control his or her own mic, such as when an engineer is not present, or as a high quality talk-back mic.
Delivering durable performance for professional applications, the ATM610a/S features a rugged, all-metal design and construction for years of trouble-free use; a superior internal shock mounting, which reduces handling and stage noise; rare earth magnet for articulate vocal reproduction; a multi-stage grille design, offering excellent protection against plosives and sibilance without compromising high-frequency clarity; Quiet-Flex™ stand clamp for silent, flexible microphone positioning; and corrosion-resistant contacts from the gold-plated XLRM-type connector.
